We used to believe that stretching would fix what hurt us.
But that’s outdated thinking. As we get older we need strength. We need to build muscle because muscle is the organ of longevity.
However if we try to strengthen muscles without having good alignment through our joints, that’s when strength training can hurt rather than heal.
The fact is most of us could use some reeducation about how to get our joints moving well, how to find a better relationship with gravity something we used to call posture and how to lengthen our connective tissue.

And those patterns are what allow us to do things like cycling, curling or pickleball.
Training patterns that are used in everyday living are the key to moving better and managing the aches of pains we’ve mistakenly accepted as aging.
